Kit Price Moss - wildlife and bird artist

About Kit Price Moss

Kit Price Moss studied Fine Art at Wimbledon and Birmingham, and obtained an MA in Art and Design in Education at De Montfort University. She is a member of the West Norfolk Artists Association and recently stepped down from Chair. She has been twice winner of the WNAA Syd Davison Award for best in show at the Association's annual exhibition. Kit is a member of East Anglian artist group Artworks, and a member of Gainsborough House Print Workshop. In August 2013 she was artist in residence at Galerie Josette Dacosta, St Jean Pied de Port, Pyrenees.

A love of travel and the natural world informs much of Kit’s artwork. Working from life in sketchbooks is important to her. Living near the coast has increased her fascination with the wildlife to be found there, drawing and painting them in their habitat using various media including pencil crayons, ink pen, and watercolours.

Back in her Norfolk studio she uses this reference material to make original hand-made prints. She uses environmentally friendly techniques such as silk screen printing, acid free etching, and woodcut.
